Dan Hunley was baptized about 10 years ago by Bill Cowan.

Dan would certainly appreciate hearing from other church members. Correspondence and our visits with them mean a LOT to him Prayers of encouragement and hope are important as they live in a rather evil and difficult environment. For example, they usually share a 6 ft by 9 ft cell with another inmate. Food isn't the best and there is a lot of turnover and shortages with prison staff.

Other specific prayer requests would be for their opportunities to work. There is a carpet manufacturing facility adjacent to the prison where some of the inmates can work during the week; however, work has been very slow for them recently. Also, we have a need for a minister to be able to visit and counsel those who request that. That may sound like an easy problem to solve but it isn't. This is an isolated area and not very practical for any of our elders to attend there due to distance and time plus the additional factor of the "red tape' it takes to get approved to visit. The chaplain there likes us but he can be very difficult to reach due to his workload plus his own serious health problems in recent months.

A note for those who choose to write: you must include the inmate's number on the envelope plus your  return address or it will be returned.
