UPDATED January 25, 2010

From Jessica,

Dear all,

I would first like to thank all of you for your extremely thoughtful cards. It made my heart smile. I can’t even begin to explain how you made me feel 100x better. You are all wonderful people that I will never forget, and you will always have a place in my heart.

During the difficult time I went through, your support, thought, cards and more meant the world to me. Not only did you send me cards, but you sent me love and positive words, that made me get through the difficult time. I appreciate everything ALL of you, that have had me in your thoughts, and that’s what brought me to where I am now. You are all TRULY special to me. And I will NEVER forget you. I have made a big scrapbook with everybody’s cards and now and then I page threw it. It brightens up my day and puts a huge smile on my face. All I can say is keep being the people you are. And I appreciate it more then you all can ever imagine.

I hope each and every one of you, are keeping well. And it works both ways, I’m in your thoughts, and You are all in mine.

Look after yourselves. and once again THANK SO YOU MUCH..

UPDATED July 25, 2009

Andre has asked me to update you on Jessica - our grand daughter. As you know she has Crohns disease. She has up up and down days but does hold her own. Right now the whole family together with Alison and John have been on a houseboat at Kariba for 10 days. They then travelled to Victoria Falls where they stayed for 4 days. From there they drove down to Botswana where they have been camping in the wild for a week now. They absolutely love the bush and wild animals and always come back with incredible stories to tell! We think the fresh air and sunshine will do Jessie a lot of good. She is very brave and knows that unless God heals her completely she will have this disease for the rest of her life.

Andre and Elize van Belkum's 13 year-old granddaughter Jessia is suffering from Crohn's disease. Doctors admit that there is little chance of a cure for the disease. We ask all our friends here on Prayer Page to pray for her healing..
