Prayers
are requested on behalf of Shelly Jenkins. She is a member
of the UCG congregation Houston South.
Shelly has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial
Hypertension (PAH). This is a lung / heart disease. Currently
she has been put on medication recently approved by the FDA.
The doctors main concern, right at this moment,
is the reducing the pressure in Shelly’s heart, as it is 2 -3
times higher than normal. The heart is having to pump extremely
hard to push the blood thru the lungs and concern is heart
failure. The blood vessels in the lungs are constricting and
hardening.
Shelly’s condition is associated with an
autoimmune disease she has, CREST, therefore making her
condition more difficult to treat as there has not been much
study done with PAH associated with CREST. Her doctors do see
her as a rarity.
May they truly come to see her as a rarity when
they witness the healing power for our Creator……….and should it
not be His will to heal her right at this moment in time, we
pray that He will guide the doctors into the correct medications
/ interactions of all the drugs and bring Shelly peace of mind
as she is also experiencing anxiety attacks. Thank you for your prayers.
