Visit to the Bismarck, North Dakota United Church of God

September 24, 2005

This was the week of the LifeNets Mandan Triathlon held on Sunday, September 25th. The day before I had the opportunity to visit and speak in the Bismarck, North Dakota congregation.  It was a great visit with many people whom I had known from years past.  You can see the story about the triathlon here or view the entire Mandan Triathlon website here.

Here's what pastor Herb Teitgen wrote in his weekly memo to the brethren:

Over 50 adult participants and a number of children took part in the LifeNets Triathlon event September 24th in Mandan, ND. Bismarck members Pam Redline and Tracey Freije devoted many hours to organizing the event and enlisting the help of many volunteers and sponsors from the Bismarck congregation and the local communities of Mandan and Bismarck. Proceeds will be used by LifeNets in its outreach programs to help those in need in the U.S. and around the world.  Victor Kubik, spoke at the Sabbath Service in Mandan and gave a presentation about LifeNets Saturday evening at a local motel. He was present to get a first hand view of the event and took many photos also. He also participated in the bicycle leg of one of the teams on Sunday. Thanks for your prayers for the success of the event. It promises to be an annual activity.
